FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UNDERGROUND COFFEE COMPANY RISES TO THE TOP
Java Gourmet has been around since 1996, but has remained something of a dormant enigma in the coffee industry until recently. Java has, and currently provides a variety of products and services, such as perfectly roasted coffee beans, organic cocoas, teas and Chai’s to Cafés, patisseries, offices and bakeries throughout Australia, Tasmania, and even Samoa.
The “underground” coffee company, now renamed Java Imports (due to some recent and substantial “tweaks” to the original business model), has now slightly reinvented itself. To meet and support the ever changing landscape of the coffee industry, Java Imports is now focusing on the boutique and artisan side of the roasting and supply process from a growth perspective, yet still continues the supply of freshly roasted beans and Rainforest Alliance and Organic Beans, syrups, cocoas and teas.
The unique blends available from Java Imports stand apart from the rest, adhering to a set of precise and impeccable standards, giving the company the opportunity to become ‘the premium coffee specialists’. Initially, there was a veritable plethora of origins, blends, etc, which ultimately, confused a lot of people that were coffee drinkers. We’ve chosen to simplify our range with the tried and true award winners as our main specialty blends, and have introduced a magnificent “tri-fecta” of Organic Single Origins into the menu as well.
Without going into explicit detail, the simple descriptions of our specialty blend are as follows:
Java Premium Blend- This blend is ideal for the serious coffee drinker who can pick up the subtle nuances and flavour profiles, yet a newbie can still appreciate its depth as well. Designed for the perfect short black – sharp bite with a rich flavour.
Java Café Blend- A rich blend of coffee with a full flavor, medium acidity and full body. This blend leaves you with a lush chocolate nut experience in your mouth and lingers pleasantly on the tongue.
Swiss Water Decaf- Our Decaffeinated doesn’t even taste decaffeinated! An amazing Colombian Swiss Water Treated (which means no chemicals are used in the decaf process) Organic coffee with a lovely, nutty flavour that is incredibly smooth and rich tasting.
“In addition to our amazing Arabica blends, we’ve sourced some of the most flavoursome Organic and Rainforest Alliance origin coffees that are available. We hand selected these 3 organic origins from small farms in Peru, Guatemala, and Mexico, roast them fresh on the gentle hot air streams of Chinook Roasters as the orders come in, package it by hand and arrange delivery to our customers within 24 hours,” said BDM of Java Imports, Dylan Zack.
Also on offer are a range of quality teas; from English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Green Tea to Chamomile, Peppermint and Chai. Java Imports is also one of the exclusive distributors of Da Vinci Syrups and sauces for Cafe’s and restaurants, as well as for home use. For those familiar with the Da Vinci line, you’ll be no stranger to the mouth- watering flavours of the Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate and Caramel sauces and diverse syrup range. We have tasted a number of products over the years, and struggled to find anyone to even remotely rival the quality of Da Vinci’s product range.
To compliment the “makeover” of Java Imports and in order to set the company apart from the rest, Java Imports has recently partaken in a joint venture with Flannerys Natural Grocers. Java’s design team designed a bulk coffee dispenser display which is displayed in all Flannerys Natural Grocers stores. These units have been very popular in Europe and North America for decades, and are a very popular way to buy coffee.
“Customers can now choose their beans and then use the inbuilt grinder to freshly grind their coffee for whatever application they use to make their own coffee at home. Freshly roasted, for you to freshly grind. It doesn’t get much better than that, considering most coffee in grocery stores has been pre-ground, and sitting on shelves getting stale for 6 months before you come along and buy it” says Dylan.
Dylan explains the reasoning behind Java Imports deciding to focus purely on bulk coffee supply and introducing the bulk coffee dispenser displays is all due to the experience it offers the consumer.
“Buying in bulk ticks all the right boxes; it provides the consumer a fresher, higher quality product for the same price as an inferior product in a flashy bag. It is environmentally friendly as there is no packaging that needs to be broken down and all the ground coffee is taken away in a recycled, yet attractive, brown paper bag. Having an in-store grinder allows the customer the flexibility of being able to grind their coffee for whatever type of application they use at home or in their business and it’s a fun, interactive experience in the process. And it smells fantastic!” he adds.
Java Imports is a company which is highly experienced in all areas of coffee and takes pride in their dedication and unrelenting passion for unsurpassable freshness and quality. “We have the capacity to hand roast kilo batches of Kona coffee, and on the flip side, we can toll roast several tons a week, so it should be an interesting year, to say the least”
“The transition of Java, to a company which focuses purely on sourcing and providing fresh roasted, award winning coffee in bulk to those who appreciate it, will help us achieve the premium brand image and reputation we have been working towards,” said Dylan.
With that being said, keep your eyes, and all your senses open to watch Java rise like the crema on a perfect espresso.
